Rider App Security Update
If we were asked, ‘What’s the one thing you’re not willing to compromise at TT RideShare?’- our answer without hesitation would be safety! The safety of our drivers and our riders is paramount and supercedes any financial or marketing benefit we could derive.
In light of recent events in which our drivers have been victims of the criminal elements that plague our country, we have taken a decision to implement two changes that will affect the way we do business.
Firstly, rides requested TO and FROM certain areas of East Port of Spain have been temporarily restricted. The frequency of criminal attacks originating from this area can no longer be ignored. To our valued customers in this area, we have made several drop off and pick up points available to you, so that we can service your ride requests.
- Belmont Police Station
- Port of Spain General Hospital
- NIB office
Please review the below map for greater clarity.
Secondly, effective September 2019, only verified riders will be able to request rides. Verification of your rider profile is easy. Follow these three simples guides to verify your account today!
- Upload a valid form of identification along with a picture to the app
- Ensure the email address used is valid and you clicked the confirmation link emailed to you
- Ensure that the name used on your account matches the name on your ID
As our mandatory Rider Verification is enforced in September, the East Port of Spain area will be reopened for full TT RideShare service.
It has become necessary to implement these changes as we attempt to deter criminal activities and protect you our valued stakeholder! We thank you for your continued understanding, co-operation and trust that you place in us for being your premium ride sharing service.
Happy to help.
